Ben Van Alstyne

Ben graduated from the school of Computer & Systems Engineering at RPI with a Bachelor of Science degree, where he focused on communication and control systems. Among his projects at RPI was system architecture design and hardware development for a building-integrated photovoltaic system. Ben is an avid musician and motorcyclist. On weekends, he can be found at the racetrack playing his saxophone.

At Free Form Fibers, Ben is focused on constantly improving the production process. This includes PLC programming, tool networking & automation, SOP development, and everything in-between — so that our fibers can be grown as safely and efficiently as possible.  He is leading the production expansion efforts as we increase our manufacturing capacity.
